Laise Cedraz Pinto
Laise, a Professor at Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) Brazil, moved (with her entire family) to York for a 4 month sabbatical, and studied stress responses of Maillard reaction products (MRPs) using yeast as a an experimental system. She published this work as first (and co-corresponding) author in the Yeast journal.

Balbina worked on ESCRT related trafficking of killer toxin defence factor Ktd1, before returning to her studies to complete a Bachelor's degree.

Karen Benitez Martinez
Karen helped developed FRAP techniques to study protein diffusion in the plasma membrane. After returning to Mexico, Karen started work as a Patient Care Coordinator in New Jersey.

Saffron worked as a GenRes student on killer toxin defence in the lab during the summer (and served as the social coordinator for the SMYTE conference I organised), before starting a PhD at the University of Surrey.
