Kamilla Laidlaw
Kamilla published 4 first-author papers and co-authored 3 other papers before returning to Scotland to start a position as an accounts manager for Azenta Life Sciences.

Zoe Ingold
Zoe worked on several projects and helped us obtain a Green Impact Lab Accreditation before starting another technician post in CNAP at York.

Justas co-authored a paper with us before starting a PhD at UCL Cancer Institute.

Kate Bunting
Following a GenRes summer studentship in the lab Kate returned as a technician, published 2 papers, and went on be a medical lab assistant at the Nuffield Hospital.

Laise Cedraz Pinto
Laise, a Professor at Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) Brazil, moved (with her entire family) to York for a 4 month sabbatical, and studied stress responses of Maillard reaction products (MRPs) using yeast as a an experimental system. She published this work as first (and co-corresponding) author in the Yeast journal.

Blythe's PhD work is being prepared for publication; she started a postdoc at the University of Birmingham with Nadia Schoenmakers.

Sergios has prepared several projects for publication before starting a postdoc at the University of York with Jeremy Mottram.

Sarah Lecinski
Sarah co-authored 4 first-author papers and co-authored a fifth before moving to the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge as a UKRI career development fellow.

Savvas published a first author paper, co-authored another, and contributed to the creation of 2 patents before moving to the University of Glasgow to start a postdoc with Matt Dalby.

Henrique's performed a project co-supervised by Charlotte Walker to understand how different algal proteins interact and function, using yeast as a model.

​Ruby performed an Integrated Masters project testing how different ESCRTs organise endosomal compartments, before starting work in the lab of veterinary healthcare company IDEXX.

Theo performed a project understanding how TPD54 intracellular nanovesicles are formed, then started as a Care Practitioner to build experience for a career in Genomic Counselling.

Giannina Hernandez Ruiz
Giannina worked to understand how killer toxin pathways operate in yeast cells, before accepting a PhD in Pharmacology at the University of Cambridge.

Balbina Guzmán Bortoni
Balbina worked on ESCRT related trafficking of killer toxin defence factor Ktd1, before returning to her studies to complete a Bachelor's degree.

Karen Benitez Martinez
Karen helped developed FRAP techniques to study protein diffusion in the plasma membrane. After returning to Mexico, Karen started work as a Patient Care Coordinator in New Jersey.

Maybet Reyes Estudillo
Maybet helped developed high throughput FRET flow cytometry techniques in collaboration with Karen Hogg at the TF. She went on the Medical School in Mexico.

Saffron worked as a GenRes student on killer toxin defence in the lab during the summer (and served as the social coordinator for the SMYTE conference I organised), before starting a PhD at the University of Surrey.
